Over the past week I’ve been enjoying and playing with my new iPhone 4s. The feature I was most excited about was Siri, the new virtual personal assistant feature. I didn’t know how much I would really use it. Did I really need to talk to my phone? I mean…who wants to have conversations with their phone? Turns out, I use Siri everyday.
At first, I was just playing around, saying whatever I could think of. Turns out, Siri is sassy.
I tried to be nice, ask her about her friends…
Apple has programed Siri to have a sense of humor, much to my amusement. I can’t stop trying to get her to say the most ridiculous things. But the practical uses for Siri are more amazing than I had thought. I use her to reschedule appointments, call my friends, look things up on the internet. I use her to write my text message while I walk to class, no more accidentally running into people as I walk down Comm Ave! Thank you Siri! I can talk to Siri like I would a person (which is a little unnerving), ask her to play my music, read me my messages or if I need an umbrella. Although people do stare at me sometimes when I ask my phone to call someone or rearrange my schedule, but it is so convient and easy! So get used to it everyone!
So, apparently I do enjoy talking to my phone. Although I do hope I stop saying “Thank You” to it soon.
