If you know me, you can call me Alex, a sophomore majoring in Advertising and major concentrating in Religious Studies. I’m fresh out of Pico Rivera-a city ten miles outside of Los Angeles, California. Yes. I do miss it, I am a Lakers fan and California girls really are unforgettable. Soy Latina, I’m half Colombian and half Mexican. Everything I write is influenced by my heritage, realistic ideals, Catholic upbringing and my love for people and their stories. In short, my writing is personal and, sometimes, it’s a little bit scandalous because I forget about decency, filters and all the stuff that would keep my foot out of my mouth a little bit more. If it doesn’t make you think or feel, I haven’t done my job. I want to do something of substance with my life, right now I’m toying with the ideas of working for an agency that does a lot of non-profit work or teaching religion. Take what you will from that. In my spare time I play rugby, go to a concert here and there, write for another blog: BUlatino, put in hours on the grind at my workstudy job, work with adorable pre-schoolers out in Back Bay and when I find the time, I get by with a little help from my friends.
