Dear Reader,

I’ve never been much of a blogger, nor have I been one to read blogs, until I had the opportunity to work on this very blog. In researching ideas for Dear Reader, I was introduced to a world of blogs once unknown to me; a world full of blogs devoted to the creative, design, latest news, fashion, health, sports, and anything and everything that you could possibly think of. I was introduced to a world full of talented (and sometimes not-so-talented) writers whose simple purpose was to share their thoughts with the rest of the world. That is my same purpose.

Through writing reviews of recently (and not-so-recently) released titles, ranging from literary genres such as nonfiction novels, drama, and poetry, I will introduce you to some of the exceptional contemporary authors that are carried at Mugar Memorial Library. You’ll be the first to know what new titles come in, what they’re about, and where to find them.

In addition, you’ll also be informed of other newly-received titles that may be of interest to you. I’ll periodically ask you for comments about some of the books I reviewed or recommended, suggestions for books you’d like to see at Mugar, and even the chance to submit some of your own reviews to be published on the site!

With any luck, sharing my thoughts and updates with you will entice you to dash over to the library to pick up those highly-anticipated reads on your re-vamped “must-read” list.
