David's my brother, I'm Dan. :)

Also, Europeana is a wonderful project, but it does not come from LC. Here's its background story.

It was great to meet you this at THATCamp! -Dan

Thanks for this writeup! I should clarify that there are a few well-known pictures of Pynchon out there, but nothing for the past several decades.

I've put my slides up here: http://is.gd/1dgge

None of my Wordle or other images are available elsewhere, so if you'd like to check them out, please download the PowerPoint. If you'd like to check out my Java map toy on your own, please email or drop me a line via blog/Twitter. I look forward to any feedback you'd like to share.

Thanks for the fantastic summaries! I've been at many of the sessions you've written up, but your summaries are typically much more complete than my notes. I'm impressed by how fast you get these up!

Dennis, so sorry you're ill -- had been looking forward to meeting you. Get well, and follow the conference on Twitter too, if that's your thing! It's been fun and, unlike some other conferences I've followed on Twitter, the flow is manageable.

On Project Bamboo, my univ. has stayed interested b/c of the possibilities to connect and to make use of resources. Since we're part of a large state system that is completely underfunded, this is a win-win for us. Our return is to use the tools, etc. in the classroom (beta testers)? I've been adamant that Bamboo needs to include those teaching-centered institutions if it wants to conquer the R1 hierarchy.

So, jump on board, please. We just wrapped up Workshop 5 and are looking to begin the actual work of Bamboo. There are about 5 reps working through teaching, but we need more to make sure research and teaching are represented as integrated.

Quite frankly, in our economic time in CA, w/out Bamboo, I wouldn't be able to keep afloat as a Digital Humanities scholar. I've been muddling along for 4 years w/out an infrastructure except the network that I've built personally. For those who are naysayers about BAmboo, are you willing to extend an infrastructure to me? (I know the answer to this, but how do we formalize it so others behind me can also make use of it?)
